Meet Dr. Quinnett Swank
Hi, I’m Dr. Quinnett Swank. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Nevada, wife to an Airforce Veteran/Retired Law Enforcement Officer, and a mom of four (two school-age kids and two adult bonus daughters). I’m also a nature lover, fitness enthusiast, and most importantly, a fellow human on this journey of life, ready to walk alongside you.
I work with adult men and women who look like they’re holding it all together, but inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same loops: a racing mind, irritability and overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, obsessive thoughts, or that constant feeling that something bad is about to happen. Sometimes you can’t even put it into words. You just know you want to feel calmer, lighter, more confident, and more like yourself again.
I also support couples when anxiety, stress, or past hurt is getting in the way of connection.
Life is tough enough, and you don’t have to carry these heavy feelings alone. I see myself as a guide and a teammate for those working through:
· Relationship difficulties
· Coping with change and loss
· Healing trauma
· Moving through a transitional period
· Self-love, self-esteem, and self-worth
· Self-judgment and worrying
· Stress and anxiety
· Self-discovery
· Accomplishing goals
I provide a safe, comfortable space where you can exhale, feel understood, and start building real change through authentic connection, deep listening, and empowerment. I pride myself on being the type of therapist who is honest, direct, and compassionate. I’m less of a “how does that make you feel?” therapist and more of a “let’s slow this down, get to the root, and build tools that actually work in your real life” type of therapist. I’m active, collaborative, and committed to doing the work if you are.
Our work together will create space for deeper self-understanding, support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and give you tools you can actually use day to day. The goal isn’t to fix you. It’s to help you move toward the life you want instead of away from it, with more self-trust, steadiness, and peace.
Sessions available in-person in Northwest Las Vegas and virtual across Nevada.
My focus: helping you change the patterns that keep you stuck
My Approach
My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and attachment-focused therapy, with somatic strategies to support nervous system regulation. Instead of trying to get rid of anxiety or “fix” you, we focus on changing the way anxiety, thoughts, and old relationship patterns show up in your life so you can feel more grounded, rebuild self-trust, and move toward what matters.
What this looks like in sessions
Unhook from overthinking, make room for hard feelings, and take values-based action
Understand patterns, needs, and boundaries to create emotional safety in relationships
Reduce panic and shutdown, and build nervous system resilience
